Local Conservative candidates Lee Lyons (PPC Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock) and Marc Hope (PPC Central Ayrshire) were on hand to help out with other local activists from South Ayrshire Better Together at the recent Scottish Airshow. Marc Hope is pictured (centre) alongside Ayr MSP John Scott and SACUA Association Manager Dan McCroskrie.
The Scottish Airshow has arrived back to Prestwick for the first time in nearly 20 years and both candidates hope to see it return in future years given the major boost it gave the local economy as more than 30,000 people decended to South Ayrshire to witness the spectacle.
The Better Together meanwhile stall sold out of merchandise by the end of the day as members of the public were queuing up to offer their support in the final stages of the referendum campaign!
Central Ayrshire PPC Marc Hope said "There has been a very warm reception today from Ayrshire voters in the sunshine, with No Thanks stickers significantly outnumbering the Yes ones. We are very hopeful that, with a final push, the Union will be saved"
