Voting is an important civic duty and right that we have in the United Kingdom. Trying to visit your local polling station can sometimes be a difficult task due to family commitments, work or other conflicting events in your life.
We are lucky enough to be able to vote by post. If you wish to vote by post please click on the link below to fill out a form.
Alternatively you can contact [email protected] or 01292 263991 and we will post one out to you.
Please also be aware that the manner of registering for a postal vote has changed. The Government launched a new system called IER (Individual Electoral Registration) to replace the outdated household registration system. This means that everyone will be registered to vote individually rather than relying on the head of the house to register everyone within it. It is estimated that when transfering over voters to the new system, 84% of voters were successfully transfered meaning they will retain their vote, whether that be postal, proxy or voting on polling day at a station. 16% were not transferred successfully and have been written to by the Electoral Registration Office. We would encourage everyone to double check that they are registered by calling the local ERO office in Ayr on 01292 612221.
