South Ayrshire born and bred, originally from Girvan Alan Lamont is delighted to be the newly elected councillor for Girvan and South Carrick following a hugely successful by-election in September 2023.

Alan left home at 18 to serve in Her Majesty’s armed forces, 7 years later he returned home. Alan then served as a Police Officer for the next 25 years mainly based in Ayrshire and Glasgow.
